When in the future an overview may be required as to why the mighty Ozymandian empire of the United States of America consumed itself carnivorously from within, Michael C. Ruppert's book will do far more than account for the way in which the contributions of the corporations, the security services, the power brokers, the possessors of unimaginable wealth driven blind and insane by demonic greed thunderously drove a promising experiment in idealistically pure self-government of the people, by the people, for the people into the catastrophe that pierces the eyes of everyone on the planet today. Ghettos of unseeing wealth, thousand-mile inundations of trailer-park poverty, millions of poor savagely incarcerated, disability and death caused by the deprivation of simple health care, great cities in broken ruin, pollution that suffocates the life from the biosphere of earth, air, and water, an absence of hope, and the irrecoverable internment of a once-great dream.

An epic tome detailing the many misdeeds of some men in very high places. "A juicy one" to say the least. Rather than succumb to wild and sensationalist conspiracy speculation that helps some authors sell a lot of books, Ruppert sticks to the hard facts with the due diligence he honed as a street wise LAPD detective.

Although dated, the book is an unbelievable gem as far as investigative journalism into the goings on in government, banking, and the Pentagon in the months immediately before and after the attacks on the World Trade Center Towers and the Pentagon. This kind of deep, penetrating investigative reporting has all but vanished in recent years. Should be required reading at universities and at West Point, Annapolis, and for aspiring journalists. The corruption, deceit, and subterfuge in high places that this author exposes is simply mind blowing.

I had to read this book three times because it's just packed with information about who did what and when, using mostly government documents and testimony from government employees, regarding the event that occurred on September 11, 2001 in New York City. I have bought copies and given them away. This book is truly a magnum opus. Unfortunately, the book's brilliant author suffered from depressive illness for much of his adult life which he ended by his own hand. Rest in peace, Michael C. Ruppert

Its a real page-turner. One can tie together the significant incidents of the last 6 decades and fill in lots of thw blanks. The research fills in the names one forgot or didn't realize was important at the time.

Fantastic. I am a researcher of 9-11 and other American Govt. wrong-doing. Michael's analysis is excellent and extremely detailed and thorough. Too bad he will not be with us and we hoist the criminals' necks onto the gallows!

Michael C. Ruppert really deserves six stars for his books content and for his dogged bravery. The writing is a bit flawed and long but not the content. If one twentieth of what Ruppert claims is true then the people all over the world have been hoodwinked by the Bush Cheneny empire and their sinister politicization of 9/11.
